The Artist is fascinated by Christ’s personality. In this artwork he wants to commemorate his strengths, extraordinary energy and love but in the same time his humanity.
Christ is in the desert, during forty days of praying and meditating, exploring his humanity and dealing with all the difficulties related to the self-isolation, without food and water. On top of his those challenges, Christ experiences the temptation of the Devil. The artist imagines a Christ with his close eyes, praying more than ever his God, to give the strength to fight any temptation and afford this hard proof.
You can admire the spirituality and placidness in his face, result of an interior battle of negative feeling won by the pure love for his Father.
